Yoga Ecology and Lifestyle (online workshop by request)

We are offering four online sessions focused on Yoga Ecology and Lifestyle. Each 2 hour session will include talks, practices and sadhanas designed to deepen our connection and relationship with Nature thereby bringing us closer to the divine within us and around us

Session One
Ashwattha Aradhana

The first condition in Yoga Ecology is that we learn to connect and communicate with nature.

—Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati

Through the practice of Ashwattha Aradhana, connection to trees, we begin to reconnect and communicate with nature, and through nature, with the divine.

Join us to learn and experience Ashwattha Aradhana with Swami Prembhava. This brief five-minute daily practice helps us connect with trees and the divine presence within them. By experiencing this divinity, we realize our oneness with all of life and develop a desire to cherish and protect it. This ancient vedic and yogic practice reconnects us with nature or prakriti and cultivates a deep understanding and respect for all of creation .

Session Two
Sacred Fires – The Spirit of Agni

Swami Satyananda said that the discovery of fire marked a critical turning point in the evolution human consciousness.

Throughout cultures and ages, fire has been revered as a symbol of divinity, seen as a link between human consciousness and the divine, cosmic consciousness. Spiritual practice and evolution are deeply connected to the fire element (Agni tattwa).

Agni Tattwa purifies both our inner and outer environments, forming the foundation for the path of Yoga Ecology.

Join us with Swami Prembhava to explore the role of Agni in our lives and learn simple practices that can be adopted daily, weekly or monthly to connect us with Agni tattwa- the fire element.

Food is Prana

Session Three
Food is Prana

Mother Nature has provided us with an abundance of nutritious, healthy and delicious food. When we understand the role of food in a yogic lifestyle, we discover that our dietary choices and relationship with food can be an offering to Mother Nature.

Yogic or a balanced pranic diet is based on a wholistic system of health, that benefits the individual, society and the planet.

Join us with Swami Prembhava to explore the principles of a yogic diet, including yogic attitudes, routines, mantras and recipes. This session offers simple ways to observe our attitudes and habits towards food, and how to change them, thereby enhancing our own health and that of the planet.

Session Four
Water - Sustainer of life

Water is life, life is water.

Water or the apas tattwa is the most essential element on earth, without it, life as we know it would not exist.

Join us with Swami Prembhava to explore the yogic tradition, relationship and sadhana with this vital element. We will discuss how to reconnect with the water element within and around us in our daily lives and how to work towards purifying and protecting this precious resource in all that we do.
